DRY BULK HANDLING SYSTEMS FOR OFFSHORE SUPPLY VESSELS
Deck connections
To connect the dry bulk system with the platform or shore the bulk handling system includes stainless steel quick acting couplings of the Weco type or Kamlock. These quick acting couplings are standard used on board of offshore support vessels. Dimension are 100, 125 or 150mm. All couplings are delivered with closing caps. During sea voyage these couplings can be closed with steel caps.
Before the cap of the coupling is removed it should be checked if the line is under pressure this can be checked with the blow off valve which are connected within hand reach distance of the coupling.
