VAMO LifeSaver®

The VAMO LifeSaver® is the most technologically advanced tank entry and emergency escape unit available. Designed exclusively for use onboard offshore supply vessels and constructions, certified by classification society and complying with international regulation EN137 (Short Duration Entry Unit).
International regulations require for tank entry with a possibility of too low oxygen levels an emergency escape unit.
 
 
The VAMO LifeSaver® designed in combination with Dräger Safety combines compactness, lightness (5kg), easy to use latest in breathing apparatus and monitoring design.

The VAMO LifeSaver® consists out of:

• Full-face mask – The vessel supplies the breathing air and in case of failure will automatically switch over to supply breathing air from the escape cylinder.
• Hip mounted escape cylinder – A capacity of 15 minutes, which is sufficient to safely exit the tank in case of failure in the vessel air supply system. Is compact, light and attached to a sophisticate harness design, which retains its form and is easy to put on and off, even for the most inexperienced operator.
• Movement detector with emergency button (distress signal unit) –detects movement and activates a distress alarm if the wearer remains motionless beyond 30 seconds.

• Oxygen detector – detects the oxygen level in the ambient air and gives an alarm at oxygen levels below 19 Vol. % and above 23 Vol. %

• Integration module – To further improve safe working in confined places the VAMO LifeSaver® will communicate with the DBMAS® control unit. In case of an emergency the DBMAS® will activate the general alarm of the vessel.  Transfers electronic data from the
  movement detector, oxygen detector and escape cylinder. 
• Complete unit – Per vessel two VAMO LifeSaver® will be supplied complete and ready to use. Each is supplied with; filter unit, 15-meter
  hose and connection plugs to mount in the air system of the vessel.
